          "text": "Thinking about kubernetes vs fly.io for the next service deploy. Pros of k8s: the rest of infra is on it, the ops team knows it, CI is already wired. Cons: heavyweight for a single Node service. Pros of Fly: dead simple, per-app, scales to zero. Cons: another control plane, another billing line item, team doesn't know it. Tempting but I'm not sure."

          "text": "If the rest of infra is on k8s and CI is wired, the marginal cost of adding one more service is tiny — the cognitive and ops burden is amortised. Fly's nice-to-haves (scale-to-zero, simple UX) don't offset two new things to learn."
